I’m always happily surprised by Google when they change their logo to reflect a day in history. Oftentimes they come up with something rather clever but I think today’s design takes he cake. In honor of Jules Verne’s 183rd birthday they’ve turned the logo into an undersea adventure that you get to control by the lever on the right.
What’s even more cool though is if you have a Macbook and use Chrome as your browser, you can control your descent with your computer. The animation is controlled by the computers accelerometer, allowing you to deep dive and swim back and forth simply by shifting your laptop around. Such a great idea done so well.
